Happy New Year!  With a new year comes the annual license renewal period, which will be easier than ever now that you can do it on-line!  I’m very excited to announce that all dealer and auto recycler license renewals can be completed on-line at this time.  I’ve attached directions on how to set up your MyMVD account, add a user and process your license renewal.

The link to accomplish this is:  https://eservices.mvd.newmexico.gov/eTapestry/_/

The Dealer Licensing Bureau will also offer a paper renewal from, it will be available the first week of February 2017.  However, you can renew your license now online at MyMVD and scan in the attachments (no more mailing or hand delivery to the office).

Please submit all renewals no later than March 15.

There will no longer be a short or long form version of the license renewal, the system will prompt you to provide the items necessary.  Here is a list of what is required to renew (you must complete the online application once it is started):

Dealer-
o Number of Vehicles Sold in the last year
o Education certificate- Used dealer (required every 2 years).
o Franchise agreements- If you have new or changes
o Current Business License
o Bond- New, Rider or receipt of payment
o $50- processed by credit card or e-check

Auto Recycler:
o NMVTIS #
o MSSP ID (NOI #)
o Small Quantity Generator ID
o Current Business License
o Bond- New, Rider or receipt of payment
o $50- processed by credit card or e-check

Licenses will not be printed and mailed, you will have the ability to print your license on demand in your MyMVD account.  Your MyMVD account portal gives you access to off-site sales, change of ownership, change of address, dealer plate renewals, dismantler forms, etc.

Please keep in mind that licenses issued after September 6, 2016 are now part of the staggered expiration dates and do not expire on March 31, 2017.

Feel free to reach out to the office if you need assistance at 505-383-2316.

Regards,

Noel
